Terms & Conditions.

 

For all Bridal, Event, and 1:1 Makeup, Hair Styling, and Spray Tanning services carried out by Showcase Makeup and Beauty

All contracts/communication between Showcase Makeup and Beauty  (ABN 73 598 731 040) and any person (‘Customer’) relating to any goods or services provided and supplied by Showcase Makeup and Beauty to the Customer through the website Showcase Makeup (‘Website’) are subject to the terms and conditions of trade set out below (‘these Terms’).

By using the Website, the Customer agrees to be bound by these Terms.

Showcase Makeup and Beauty has the right to alter or remove these Terms at any time without notice. It is the Customer’s responsibility to be aware of any changes made to these Terms and by continuing to use and visit the Website the Customer agrees to be governed by these Terms and Conditions.

Showcase Makeup and Beauty reserves the right to withdraw the Services without notice and will NOT be liable (if for any reason) the Website is unavailable during any period.

1. BACKGROUND

·   These terms and conditions govern your booking and use of a Showcase Makeup and Beauty (Service).

·   By booking or using a Service, you indicate you have read, understood, and accept these terms and conditions.

·   Contractor is fully insured for all services.

2. HOW IT WORKS

·   Bookings for a Service are made via email, or by submitting the correct form for the service you are after via the booking page.

·   Please advise time & date, services required, and location if applicable

·   You will be sent a confirmation email and instructions for payment of the deposit.

·   Your appointment is not confirmed until proof of payment is received (please supply a screenshot of the receipt).

3. PAYMENT

·   The deposit is in Australian dollars. All balace payments need to be made at least one day prior to appointments.

·   The deposit is payable within 48 hours of confirmation. (With the exception of Bridal bookings, where booking can be held tentatively for up to 4 weeks).

·   You are not booked in until proof is sent through.

·   The deposit is non-refundable and may be non-transferable * subject to availability

.       If you decide to pay in full it is at your own discretion. Any change to the booking, cancellation, or late arrival is subject to availability and does not guarantee entitlement to a refund.

4. CANCELLATIONS

·   You can manage your bookings, including cancellations, by contacting us at beauty@showcasemakeup.com.au.

·   If you change your mind or/and cancel an appointment, we will retain the deposit paid (by way of liquidated damages).

·   We reserve the right to cancel your appointment for any reason and at any time, without notice to you. If we do so, we will provide you with a refund of the deposit.

.       Cancellations due to Covid-19 will not be refundable or transferable.

5. LATE ARRIVALS

·   If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we may need to shorten the length of your appointment or change the Service you have booked.

·   If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to complete your booked service, resulting in a cancellation of your appointment & your booking fee will not be able to be used at a later date.

.       If you arrive late to your appointment (based on if the discretion of the Contractor) and it causes the Contractor to finish your makeup after hours, you will be charged an out-of-hours fee.

6. NO SHOWS

If you do not attend your booked appointment, we will cancel the appointment and retain the deposit (by way of liquidated damages).  The remaining amount of your booking will require payment. In the case that it is not paid, you will be ineligible for any future bookings.

 

7. YOUR APPOINTMENT & EXTRA INFO

·   Please note that this studio is located at Sarah’s home. The studio space is not large and therefore if you want to bring someone along to your appointment you must ask first. We reserve the right to turn away guests who have not booked in to have a service(s).

·   Due to high demand, we work on a first-in, best-dressed policy. Bookings are not held for any longer than 48 hours after agreeing with the service provider on time and date. Deposits must be paid within this time frame or the space will open up again.

 

8. ADDITIONAL CHARGES

MAKEUP

·   Arriving with any makeup on will result in a removal fee of $10 and possibly shortened appointment.

·   Out of hours (before 7am & from 4pm) incur additional fees. Stated upon booking.

· All bookings made for Sunday appointments will incur a surcharge of $20pp, to be confirmed upon booking.

·   Bookings can be made for non-standard Business Days, and Public Holidays; however, surcharges apply. Stated upon booking.

TRAVEL FEES

·   Any services conducted by Showcase Makeup and Beauty are eligible for mobile service, however, are subject to related travel fees. These will be determined upon booking and subsequent confirmation. 

 

9. PRIVACY POLICY

In order to provide better service to our valued customers, Showcase Makeup and Beauty may request personal details such as your name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. If you choose to withhold requested personal information, Showcase Makeup and Beauty may not be able to provide you with the customer service you require should that depend on the collection of that information, particularly if the collection of that information is required by law.

 

Showcase Makeup and Beauty will not sell or disclose the Customers personal information/details to any third party without the customer’s consent unless for the purpose of purchase/deposit or if necessary, to comply with laws, investigations, or legal proceedings

10. GOVERNING LAW

·       These terms and conditions are governed by the laws in force in Victoria, Australia.

·   By booking or using a Service, you submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Victoria.

 

11. COVID - 19

·       We are now fully aware of the risks associated with contracting the virus. If you fall sick and need to cancel your appointment your deposit will not be refundable or transferable* and will result in a loss of your deposit.  

 

*IMPORTANT NOTE - CHANGES BEYOND OUR CONTROL

If a significant change is made for reasons beyond our control, then, to the fullest extent permitted by law but not otherwise, we are not liable to compensate you. These include war, the threat of war, riots, civil disturbances, terrorist activity, industrial disputes, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, epidemics, pandemics, health risks, changes due to rescheduling or cancellation of events; closed or congested airports or ports, hurricanes and other actual or potential severe weather conditions, an act of government or public authorities or other circumstances amounting to force majeure and/or Acts of God.

Deposits may be made transferable if any of the above occurs, subject to availability. Deposits will remain non-refundable.
